No speedo cable hook-up
Just bought an 87 GTA for a parts car. I'm in the process of pulling the 700r4 tranny so I can install it in my 82 Z-28. The Z currently has the 200 C tranny. I noticed the 700r4 does not have a speedo cable hook-up. (maybe cause the GTA has the digital dash?)
Anyway, I need to convert the elec drive to cable. How difficult is this going to be? Will I need to replace the tail shaft housing, or can I pull out the elec (VSS?) unit and put in a cable drive?

two things.....
the gta is electric speedo...youll have to get the speedo gears from the dealer for it...
the other problem you'll run into is you'll need a spohn crossmember to install the 700r4 in the 82
