I posted a topic asking the best tranny for a 350 block. I was told a T56 would handle much better then a T5. A T56 is off a 4th generation, so how much harder would it be to install that onto a 3rd gen firebird with a 350 TPI engine? and how exacltly would the cut out for the 6th gear work? Thanks a lot.

 

ummm, go to thirdgen.org and click techincal articles on the far left side. Look for the T56 swap in a 3rd gen. that should answer all your questions. If you have any questions about it, feel free to ask.
