fuel pump & converter questions

Engine: GM PP crate 350
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 3:42 spooled 10 bolt
fuel pump & converter questions
ok please tell me if a non mechanical working person like me can install a fuel pump into my car?
if so please tell me how ( Fuel Pump Installation for dummies like Berlyn)
should i get aftermarket pump or stick w/ going to a GM dealer and get stock?
how much does aftermarket pumps run and how much is stock ?
please tell me how to gut-out a stock cat convertor step by step
i got a Flow 80 series kat back system on it already but didnt buy a new converter( juss so U'll know about it)

I wouldn't do it and I have : changed a powersteering pump , changed a starter , heater blower , brake pads . This involves dropping the fueltank and taking the rear axle off . Don't go there ! lol

Get Haynes manual (Make sure tank is VERY close to empty)
The get your car on jack stands so that the rear axle hangs down.
Remove muffler, and unbolt I-pipe from cat.
Remove heat shields form above I-pipe and and bottom of tank.
Un hook the rubber hoses on the gas lines.
Unbolt track bar, and track bar support brace.
Unhook the fuel pump and gas guage plug in. (remove fuel cap)
Remove strap bolts.
tank should start to fall.
Crurse like mad, and wiggle it till you can get it so the Filler pipe and tank slide out. This is the most difficult part. This will involve alot of patients and moving of things.
Pump is on top of tank. You need a hammer and punch to take this out.
