Future Projects, what do you think?
so, ever since buying my car i've been contemplating a v8 swap, but when it all comes down to it, i'd prefer power over those two little cylinders, so unless some generous benefactor decides to pay for a complete 350 swap and cover my insurance (once it fails the inspection) as well the increase in gas prices, i think i'd prefer to stay 6..... plus it's kinda fun, and a bit more challenging (yet rewarding in the end). here's what i'm thinking. i've began searching for a nice low mileage 3.4 (if anyone has any hot takes on where to get one in the charlotte, north carolina area, i'd really appreciate it, lol). this way, if i'm lucky might actually get to try and swap it in with some friends of mine. never have swapped an engine before, and i bet it would be fun. in terms of a swap it's not so bad, right? actually plausible for a first timer? well, once the new engine's in (700R4 transmission follows) i was contemplating trying that turbo that was mentioned in an earlier post, i believe by camaro hunter? (may be wrong) it would end up being a lot of work, but well worth it, if everythign goes well, in the end. from the new engine, i'd get well, a nice fresh engine, and about 160 hp, plus much more torque. respectable. and then if i followed it up with the turbo (any more info on that would be appreciated) i'd get like maybe another 50-60hp? mostly high end power, but i'll take any i can get........ *gasps for air* sorry for rambling on, and if you're still with me, what do you think? sound good. wanna help me out? hehe
thanks all. i love the 6'ers!!!!
