flexplate style

Does anyone know if the flexplate style of a 60° 2.8 V6 is the same as the ones used on V8s? Cause in the GM performance parts cataloge they state that 90° V6 are interchangeable with the V8 but they don t mention anything about the 2.8.

Car: 1991 Corvette Coupe
Engine: L98
Transmission: 700R4/4L60 same trans different name
no it is not interchangeable

the 90* V8 is a much larger engine

our 60* V6s are actually quite small

plus the bolt pattern is different

as for the 90* V6, it is basically a 90* V8 with two cylinders knocked off

hope this helps

FYI, you're referring to the 90* 4.3L V6. the 90* 3.8L Series 2 V6 in the later model 4th gen F-body is not a 90* V8 with two cylinders knocked off.
