Shaking,And Rattling
Shaking,And Rattling
I have a 92' Firebird and it's been reconstructed and it was inspected by my bro who reconstructs cars himself and the frame and everything was reconstructed well but there was some minor things done halfassed and when i'm out on the interstate when i hit about 90 it's loud and the body feels like it's kind of shaking when i hit about 105 the engine will be putting out no effort at like 3500 or 4000 rpms but it feels like if i go any faster the car's either gonna fly apart or lose control.it feels like it's not aerodynamic at all.Everything appears to be bolted on properly. Does anyone know what might cause that?
......Andy
Also it's a T-top and it seems like the seal isn't real good and sort hisses the weather stripping is all good though. what might make for a better seal?

I'm assuming you've had the alignment checked and if it's all new then the ball joints, bushing, etc must be good. I'm not a suspension expert so I'd try posting your problem in the suspension/chassis section if you didn't already.
I have t-tops and I also start getting hisses above 105-110. Wind resistance does start slowing us down at those speeds. I don't think there's much you can do about it.

I did find these things on ebay.I forget exactly what there called but u see them on cars all the time. They go on the outer edge of you'r windows and there like guard things that keep rain and debris from coming in the window. It didn't show a picture and i'm not sure exactly how they work on cars that don't have like a frame around the window especially with T-tops but they do make them.I'm thinki'n that would probably help,It's pretty bad though with the combination of those two problems i can't evan carry a conversation or listen to music unless it's full blast when i'm on the interstate.......Andy
