Weight of our cars

Does anyone else know how much their car weighs with you in it? I weighed my car at my friends farm using a small truck scale. The wieght of my car with me in it came out to be 3056 pounds. Anyone else in that neighborhood?

I'm at 3200 without me in it. '91 RS 3.1L/auto. I have some suspension and stereo upgrades though. The cool thing is, my weight distribution is at 53/47

Ouch... guess my car's a fattie. Last time I was on the scales was at Englishtown Raceway Park, in 2000. Their scale said 3370 pounds, with me in the driver's seat (135-140 pounds), a removed air conditioning system, 1/4 tank of gas, and no more subwoofers/amps. Then again, I do have steel wheels, and very large rear tires. I definately think the steel wheels have something to do with it. They're much heavier than my old aluminum wheels... first time I tried to put my new wheels on the car, I nearly fell over when I picked the first one up- didn't expect it to be that much heavier!

Waaait a minnit... I did go to the track last year! Duh. I ran with my 3.73/posi/disc rear axle. Why did I keep thinking it was 2000? I didn't have the axle in 2000. Anyway, that means I also had the added weight of the rear calipers & rotors. I should weigh the caliper/rotor combination compared to a drum/wheel cylinder combination.

Thats an awsome weight distribution you have there especially for a front engine rear wheel drive car. I would like to add subs and amps to my system but it will add precious weight. Every time I change something about my car I try to make it lighter in the process. There is only so much power I can get out of a 2.8l naturally aspirated so stripping weight seems like a viable solution to making my car scoot a little quicker.
