Well It's In and There On!!!!!!!!!!!

ok well i finaly gave up and put the thing in the shop yesterday
i had the kyb's (gas a just and gr2's) installed new stock springs front and rear (now i know why you all use lowering springs live and learn) and the dynomax super turb w/ hi flow cat......

the only this is now it's like a totaly different ride
the car is almost 2.5" higher and the overall ride is stiff as all hell
maybe i just got use tooooo use to the old way of bouncing over every crack and or rock

i guess it will just take some getting use to but i ca hardly wait to put everything else in

now the cat back is a whole nother story this thing so far sound FUC%ING GREAT!!!! It's just what i wanted nice and deep but yet not too loud.......

i said so far b/c it's raining cat's and dog's out there so i have not been able to hear it with the window open but i can sure as heck feel it inside :lala: :lala: :lala:

i still have to do the engine work (tune up / mounts / etc) i'm just waiting to get all the parts together so i can do it all at once......

hey TOMP sorry i did want to try and do some of this myself but unlike most of you i live in a small apt and park on the street so trying t do this myself while parked on the lovely city street's in the south bronx's of all places would not have been a fun experience but i am plaing on doing some of the other work later on..........

THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!!!!!!

From: the driver's seat.
Your new springs should settle over time a bit, though you still will have quite a gap in the tops of the wheelwells.

LOL, Confucious, how'd you know I was going to say something like that? I understand what you mean though, I kinda take it for granted that I have a garage for now. I told my woman that we could never live in an apartment or condo or anywhere that doesn't have a garage. I had to do that 2.8/2.8 swap for my buddy on his street, and it was absolute hell. Most of our time each day was bringing out the tools and parts in the morning, and then putting everything away at night. Ugh.

Congrats on the installs, though! Glad to hear you like the Dynomax. Thanks for the info on the KYB's, I was thinking of going with them. They have the KYB "AGX" now, an adjustable strut, but it's $120... it's cheaper than an adjustable Koni but I don't know if I need that. How's the car around corners now with the new struts/shocks?

And yeah, this rain sucks... plus, it's cold now. I'm wearing a frickin' long sleeve tshirt right now! And college starts back up on Tuesday. You'd think my last week of freedom woudl've been nice and sunny. I was thinking of a last minute "beach day"; forget it now.
