MSD 6AL + GM coil, do i need a harness?
just ordered the MSD 6AL and the MSD GM coil, do i need a harness to plug and play or do they both go right in? thanks!

I forget the part number, but MSD makes a wiring harness that makes installation of the 6AL a breeze. It's not expensive, and worth every penny. Best of all, if you decide to take the 6AL out, you can easily return the car to stock set up.

Yeah, it's not a must, but it's easier. I chose to buy it for the same reason that Mike just mentioned- it allows me to plug my original coil in in case I die on the side of the road, and think it's my ignition box. My GM coil is still in it's original place, I've wired up a Blaster SS coil... so if you're replacing your GM coil, you really don't have a stock ignition to go back to.

When I installed my GM Blaster coil, I didn't have much choice but to remove the stock since it was dead. I would definately splurge and get the harness, makes the install so much easier.
