just threw new tires on the back of the bird. WOW!

i was bored a while ago and decides to throw a set of tires on the back. the tires that were on it were 255-60-15's on cragar 15x8's. i put a set of z28 rims 15x7 with 215-65-15 tires. wow what an increase in power. before with the 255's on i couldnt even spin the tires off the line even with my motor mods (laugh if you want) now with the 215's on i can spin them for like 10 ft off the line and it picks up much quicker. i think its because they are much smaller. less tire to turn. i recomend if anyones changing tires soon keep with a smaller rear tire

Yeah I don't see any point in going with a bigger tire then stock.

I bet you get better mpg now also, less friction while moving. however, if you want no tire spin at all, I would stay with bigger. Or go in between with some 235's. I think thats what I'm gonna do when this set wears out. Say 235/55/r17 or so. Get me some bigger rims too

im not sayin i gained any hp by putting smaller tires on the back of my car. it just livened it up some because it doesnt have to turn them huge 255-60-15 tires.
