Fuel Filter...?
Fuel Filter...?
Ok, about three weeks ago my car broke down on campus, wouldn't start at all. I got it fixed, it was the celanoid or something like that on the starter, drove it back home, kept stalling on me. The RPM's also fluctuated very rapidly and when put into D or R the idle would drop to around 500. Got it scanned, it was the o2 sensor and something with the ECM. Now both of those are fixed and the car runs perfect, EXCEPT when I push the accelerator it feels like it is going no where. I have to slam the gas pedal down just get up to 30 mph, I'm thinking it is fuel related, maybe the fuel filter or something. Any suggestions?

Have you got a fuel pressure reading?? Should be around 40-47?? These cars sound like they have a problem with the fuel pump going bad.
Changing the fuel filter wont hurt a bit, and not very coslty either.

Definitely have a backpressure test performed. A plugged cat will kill performance.
You can check the fuel filter yourself. Pull it off, clean the inlet side, and blow through it with your mouth. There should be little resistance if any.
