Global West Steering Brace aka Wonderbar

I just installed a Global West steering brace on my 2.8 now it smashes the lower radiator hose. However, I drove it up and down the road a while getting it hot and it did not overheat. It stayed around 160 and it only got hotter than that when sitting in the driveway idling. I am just curious if anyone else has installed Global West's wonderbar on their 2.8. If anyone has could someone show me a pic of it on their car or if you had trouble? Thanks guys.

I removed the plastic hose brace and strap next to the lower radiator inlet, then I cut off about 3-4" of the lower hose near that funky bend and it fit snug against the steering brace but no longer distorted the shape of the hose any. Mine is a Global West unit also.

I was thinking of that, I just wasn't all about losing a ton of coolant in this cold weather. I guess I could try that when it gets warmer. Do you have any pictures?

I have a Top Down Solutions one and it "interfears" with the lower hose also.

From what I have read, any stearing brace on our cars will.

I would be intrested in where you cut the hose also to make it function better.

Do you have a 3.1L, if so it won't interfere with the hose because it is routed differently than the 2.8L. See this post for pictures for the 3.1 and 2.8. https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...0&goto=newpost
