Hey freakin, not a flame neccisarily

"You got a big fu{king mouth you little sh*t . G()d fu{king help you if you talked to me like that in person I'd throw your little *** in a dumpster."

Well If I ever did see you, I'd call you a dumb *** right to your face, cause thats what you are.

"I've come to the conclusion that your car is a piece of sh*t and you are trailertrash with no money and jealous attitude towards everything I say."

Is my car a peice of ****? No. will it out run and out handle alot of other V6s'? Maybe, maybe not. But I do know that I can take out the vast majority of the 305 TBI's around me. I kow, they have tried.

"It must bug the crap out of you that your stuck with a terrible little V6- personally I choose to buy mine and wanted a V6 for handling ( I own three other V8 cars) and am sick of hearing you bitch about whats wrong this week or hey guys I'm going to a V8 that week."

My "little V6" is by no means terrible. But I also have the common sense to know that it will not run anything under a 15 any time soon. Especially without investing more money into an engine that is not made to handle what would need to be done. It's called "RELIABILITY", and frankly a V8(SBC/BBC) will vastly outlast a V6 tring to push the same HP/Trq that the bigger mottor is pushing.
And I am by no means lapse in the handling dept. I have had 91 Iroc/Z28 anti-roll bars installed for over a year now. I also have the Wonder bar, and Strut bar installed. I can go through many a 90* turns at 40+ with out so much as a squeek.
And I think the only thing I have compaining about my car lately was not being able to data log with Win 2K on my laptop. The logger will not function properly.

"A cat only slows exhaust gases, heats them up again and always them to continue. If the cat is not there then flow will be fine because it goes out unresticted as it cools. A high flow cat is better, especially a stainless steel one because it traps heat inside better but also allows less resticted flow. You've just been educated, now grow up dumbass."

A cat does more then just "slow down, heat up, and passes them along". There is comehting called a "retro chemical reaction" that takes place to reduce emissions, hence why they are used. But I think you know that right barney?
And if there is no cat there, yes there will be near 0 back pressure, but if you knew anything about modern engines, todays engines, rely on, if not damn near REQUIRE backpressure to operate at propper condition.
The metal type that the converter is made out of has nothing to do with pyshical flow charateristics. It matters how hot or how cold the cat remains. Which most operate at around 7-850*.
But even if you removed the cat, yes you would undoubtedly gain high RPM power, but your low end WILL SUFFER. Maybe thats why alot of the flow calculators for exhaust do not suggest going more then 20% over stock flow as to not dampen performance with stock components, and you will probably and still see a mild gain in performance.
NOW, if you go through power adders, Turbo/SC, ect, yes you will need higher flow rates. But a stock/or "primarily" stock engine will see NO GAINS, and more importantly will see a LOSS of performance if the cat flows TOO MUCH for what is required to keep the engine functioning properly.

Now YOU HAVE BEEN SCHOOLED, in the propper exhaust characteristics that need to be looked at when making changes to the system.
