92 Bird to resell
92 Bird to resell
Just wanted to get everybody's opinion. I have a chance to pick up a 92 firebird. All powers / t-top/v-6 with 84K original miles. Looks really good (few paint blemishes) and interior is 8 out of 10 (just a little dirty). Asking $3800. 2 questions
1) what to look for specifically on a V6 which could cause issues.
2) If I wanted to resell 6 months down the road, what does everybody think I can get for it ? KBB says $5300. Car is red with grey interior. THink it is worth to resell later ? Has new inspection and I live in PA.
THanks for your opinions....

Sound like a decent price. Check for any obvious oil leaks, signs of damage or condition of major components. Look for any signs of leaking T-tops. *$K isn't alot of miles but if it was driven hard it could require some $$$ to get it back in shape.
In terms of resale -- HELL NO --not for a V6 F-body. I live in NE Maryland and can't get anyone to look at my mint 85 (and I'm asking alot less). If you can get the car for less than 3800 and then sell it for 3800, you would see a small profit.

Would you buy that car now for $5300 if that were the price? if not, then no one else probably will either. All markets vary based on where you live.

I think that price is a bit high, i only paid 1800 for my 91 with 65,000 miles on it. My interior was a 9 out of 10, and i could not find a body flaw.
Now this was in chicago, and like Agood2.8 said, it all depends on where you live.
Any my car is fully load, t-tops,pm,pw,pl, power hatch, and the ground effects.
