A few people (myself included) have put the fiero covers on. They are aluminum, and have "ribs" in them. I painted mine to match the color of the car, then polished the top of the ribs back out.

It didnt cost me a thing to have it chromed PERKS of my profession, I polished my covers and polished a guys valvecovers "who use to chrome stuff" as a favor and he chromed his and mine. Eventually I will be dabbling into chroming stuff at my polishing shop. Once I make enough to purchase the chroming kit.

I guess our aluminum covers would polish up... right? Never thought about polishing them. (Don't know if I have the patience for that, either! I barely had patience to wax my paint!) Should they be shot with some kind of clear paint to protect the polishing work?

I still have a 2.8 driver's side & 3.4 pass side valve cover not using. Painted them the 500* aluminum & clear-cote. Came out pretty good, but scratches easily

Isn't the other direct advantage to using Fiero Valve covers for Roller Rocker mods? I am talking about puttin in 1.6:1 without them hitting the covers.
If this is right, then it is yet another reason to invest in the Fiero Aluminum covers.

I dont know about the clearence for the roller rockers, but I know if you buy and edelbrock cam, you're not supposed to use the 1.6 rollers. I bought the whole edelbrock power package (cam, intake and carb) for my car and the difference is unbelieveable!

I have eldabrock (sp?) chromes on my s10 engine.
I had a set of Mr gasket chromes on it at first.
Fieros
Stocks.
Them are the ones I know of.

They (Fiero valve covers) can be bought at any junkyard. I paid 15 bucks for mine then cleaned them up at home. E-bay is also an option.
There are two other options.
1. The Edelbrock chrome ones -- You need to buy the baffles for them to work properly and they might not fit the MPFI cars.
2. Overclck had a sticky a while ago about a guy who can powdercoat them in different colors for a nominal price.
