What's the difference

Between the 1988 RS and the SC of the same year? Is it just that the SC has T-Tops instead of the hard top, or is it just creature comforts like power accessories? Just curious.

Aside from the visual differences, the only difference between an 88 RS and an 88 SC is the places they were sold. In 88 GM was testing the market for the RS in CA and FL. All of the other regions got SC.

I don't see how a company has to test a market for freakin ground fx... Not that big of a deal! That's all I know of that an RS got...aside from the spiffy badges that coined so many lovely acronyms like "Real Slow"... Although the RS name was calling back to the first gen RS Camaros...when back then RS was a good thing...they had the flat grilles with the flip-up lights. In my opinion, they looked much better than the more plain-Jane SS's.

What was the original things that made up a First Gen RS? I know hidden headlights were part of the package but what else?

Yup...first gen Camaro RS's had hidden headlights. No 2nd, 3rd, or 4th gens came with them. Don't know about anything else in the RS package though..I assume a different motor or maybe transmission options....probably a different dash or interior.....I really couldn't tell you.
