Thermostat?? Throtle body?

Thats what that big thing over the thermostat on a 3.1L is called right? Well how does it come off to get to the thermostat. It looks like just pull a couple of bolts from the front of it and it pops right off, correct? My question is what do do with the throtal cables, and that spring. The hayes manual says pretty much just pull everything off, take out the bolts, put back together. It looks pretty basic exept for those cables. Thank you.

no need to take the TB off to change the t-stat. Also, if you desire to take it off, all you have to undo is the throttle cable, and cruise control cable (if equipped). You dont have to deal with any springs. You do have them clips that like to disappear that holds them cables on.

To change t-stat, use I belive its a 13mm-3/8 drive short socket, with swivil, and 6" extension. Should come off.
