Axle/Gears: 10 bolt/3.23
help!!

hey its me again i need some help with my car there is a loud rattle when the car is idle around 600-700 rpms when it idles lower or higher than that it stops, but comes back when it idles around there again. the sound is coming somewhere in the engine compartment. any help would be appreciated.

sounds to me like you've got an exhaust rattle, have you tried getting underneath the car and shaking it to see if it's in place properly?

My 88 Camaro had a similar problem recently. Yes, you should check your exhaust. Especially the catalytic converter. In my case, the heat shield was a little loose and just needed some tightening. Because the cat is closer to the front of the car, this may make the rattle sound like it's coming from the engine.

Thanks guys i looked at my exhaust today saw it rattlin around, so im gussing thats it.
