HELP? tc question
ok, heres the question cn you use a tc out of an 84 v6 camaro in a 85+ v6 camaro,
cause i thought the 82-84 had the 200C, would the tc be the same?

Transmission: 700R4
The 700r4 received a stronger input shaft (more splines) in 1985, so you can't use an 84 700r4 torque convertor. As for putting a 200C torque convertor on (82-83 v6), I'd imagine you'd also have to change the input shaft out (trans rebuild).
Trans timeline:
82: V6 and V8 = 200C
83: V8 = 700r4, V6 = 200C
84: V6 and V8 = 700r4
85-92: All 700r4
So that '84 you're looking at should have a 700r4, unless the 3speed metric 200C POS somehow wound up in there.
