What are symtoms from a bad knock sensor or solenoid? also...... would a bad tps cause studderd shifting when under heavy throttle, without and codes and no ses light? thanks for input.....

Don't replace your knock sensor or solenoid!!!
Because you don't have one!!!

That's only for 90-92 3.1's with speed density...
Yes, bad tps = bad idle quality so it might cause funny shifting. Need to throw a digital meter on it, check first for the correct tps setting at closed throttle.
Now throw an analog meter on it. Don't hook the meter up like you're reading the computer (like you do when you check tps voltage at idle). Analog meter on ohms- one probe to the center terminal of the TPS. Second probe to one of the outer terminals. Move the throttle linkage. The meter's needle should swing smoothly- no jerky motions. Jerky motions = bad tps. Can't be done with a digital meter (unless the digital meter has an analog bargraph readout like my Fluke 73) because you need to see a steady increase in voltage- digital just shows you numbers.

is it possible to adjust your tps for peformance? or is it just to keep the stock specs in order to keep the motor running at its possible best?
