Varajet carb ?
I have the varajet carb on my 84 camaro. I was wondering how diffilcult it would be to rebuild one? The only experience i have had rebuilding carbs is when i rebuilt a rochester 1bbl. This 2bbl looks alot more complex . Is it worth the shot to rebuild?
Is it true that the only carb that will fit on my intake is the varajet?

You should buy a repair book for carburetors. I rebuilt a rochester quadrajet with no experience and sold it on ebay for some good turnaround... the guy was happy so I must have done it right.
I bought it from someone that thought it was off a Cadillac and I found out by running the number that it was actually for a Corvette. Kaching $$

The Haynes 82-92 Camaro or 82-92 Firebird manual gives instructions on how to rebuild the E2SE carb.
You could also search for the book "Rochester Carburetor Manual" by Haynes, http://www.haynes.com/na201.html#anchor1051792
There's another book by Doug Roe that I forget the title of...
And, of course, there's the option of buying the 84 GM Shop Manual from http://www.helminc.com or eBay... that'll definately tell you how to rebuild it!

Any "real" auto parts store will have them, too (not pep boys or autozone or etc). The place with greasy counters and concrete floors and only 2 or 3 different kinds of car wax.
You'll need the part # off your carb, I think it's on the front passenger side mounting plate- it's been awhile, can't remember.
