OH yeah! What a deal!

Hey guys haven't been around much lately but....

I had to tell ya about the deal I got.

A friend of a cuz scraps cars and whatever else he can get his hands on. He also happens to be good friends with the local sheriff.

Anyway they gave him a worn out 92 chevy caprice. That runs but smokes some, lifters clacking like hell but other then that seems like in good shape.Hell, the damn air conditioner even works! Which is more then I can say for the RS's air!
350 TPI 4sp auto.

But he can't scrape it untill they are finished with the body. Basically for Rescue practice.

He junk pieces off of it aslong as the body stays in 1 piece.

I just made a deal with him for the engine, tranny, radiator, wiring harness and whatever else I would possibly need for a swap.
This deal consists of the following...

I had an 81 cutlass when in school.Powered by a 231 ci buick engine(a.k.a. 3.8). I have striped pieces from it over the years for the 78 cutlass that i had a few years back. The 81 is still sitting in my barn, only in pieces.

I'm trading the 81 for the complete drivtrain out of this cop car.

I'm already planning the rebuild for this engine. Nothing really special except for a .030 overbore. Maybe a computer safe cam shaft.

The little woman complains about the $$ I put into my R/C Nitro cars. Just wait untill she finds out what is swirling around in my head now!

Just had to share with ya guys whats up on my end of the net since ya haven't heard from my for awhile!

Later.....

When possible it'll be dropped into the RS. The biggest problem I have is no other car to drive while the RS is down.

It'll take me awhile. I have yet to get it in my possesion. So until then I'm not gonna count my chickens.
Besides, it needs rebuilt and all. That part is the easy part.I hope!LOL
