project,
Did u or are you swapping in the later model guages into your 85? I've got an 85 also as ya know and also have acquired a set of eh 87-90 or so T/A setup, including the 140mph speedometer, haven't attempted putting it in yet, cause i know it'll be more involved than i really want, but, it would be nicer looking than a sports car w/ an 85mph speedometer....do ya have a heads up on hwat's involved, past the tech article on the site already?

Karls converting his idiot light dash in to gauages. He needs a tach that works for it. As you know, I thik after 86 the speedo cable is now defunk, & to swap it in requires a new gauge cluster like I have, but also some rewiring tactics. The tach, on the face side also has printed on it "V6", so it is specific to theat engine. The back is just weird compaired to the earlier models. Also, of interest, is that the arrangement of gauges is different on teh newr models compaired to the later ones, otherwise I would have switched them myself.

yeh i noticed the difference in the placemetn when i was looking around at them, it was a tad funny to see, that and the differences in the wiring setup atleast where the little pluggy things would be routed too. Hopefully i can do the switch over at some point and time, but definatly not right now.
