:eave Wire attached.
Thos O2 sensors go for very pretty penny.
YA may be able to sell those for some pocket change for a gasket or other stuff.
Really leave them in & they are fine.

its all set to go, except the roller rockers and underdrive pulley i ordered arent here yet. probably not till early next week and i have to leave back to college this weekend. great, go figure. hopefully next weekend i can have it running and out on the snowy, icy roads. so it may be a while before i find out just how much better it is. i cant wait for spring, mid michigan motorplex opens in late april and ill have some 1/4 mile times!!!!
they will be way better than the 18.1 i was running w/ the 2.8, lol.

ITS ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! test drove it and everything seems fine. its snowing like crazy out here so i have to drive slow, but it moves!! i do notice a slight rattle at about 3000rpms. i put 1.52 roller tip rockers in it, but those would be making noise at idle and just get louder. there is also a hissing sound coming from somewhere, but it could be a high pitched bearing noise too. but, forget it for now it runs, lol. thanks for everyones help

good deal. rattle at 3000. Hum

I know on my truck, the flywheel was hitting the dust cover (manual) and didnt make noise at idle, just higher rpms.

Could have left a bolt loose in same area (not doubting your work, but $hit happens)

rockers could be loose too, dont doubt that.

I have your solutions.
Rattle. Yep & it's noisy at idle, too.
Tighten valves more.
Hissing noises...
99% will be a vacuum leak somewhere.
The hardest hose to "fix" right is the one on driver side at base of distributor.
Welcome to teething pains, now!
Keep at it you will solve all these issues!

theres no rattle at idle, just once it reaches around 3 grand, and its slight. you cant hear it unless youre under the hood. i guess it could be rockers, but im not thinking it is so much. if i get some time to pull the VCs back off, ill check them. wont be for a couple weeks though.... school

Another suggestion,
are you using specific 3.4 prescibed spark plugs?
I discovered after my swap, I ran car up a hill.
I heard ping. Discovered the wrong heat range plug I used.
Bought the correct plug (I like Bosch Platinum spark plug) & that ping went away & engine felt more powerful, too.
Double check your vacuum hose routing (especially the "look for cracked hard plastic lines"), too. That could contribute to the problem.
Ya got this far, great!

On the rockers, did you make sure they hit/contact the valve spring correctly? During range of rocker travel, I've "heard" of some problems. In my swap I've used the stock rocker arms. Always wanted to upgrade that one part.

do you know what the heat number for the plugs are? i believe i bought 43s. 42s came in the 2.8 and they are too cold unless im running lotsa performance stuff. i talked to a guy ive known a while and he said those should be better to run for me. what do you guys think?

I offered my solution.
I only noticed the "ping" on a long hill incline.
After I changed the plugs problem solved & better runner of an engine.
I am unaware of the "specific" number for my choice of Bosch platinum. And the plugs in the engine.
FYI the compression of a 93-95 3.4 mill IS HIGHER than a 2.8/3.1. That is why the plug is different than 2.8/3.1 choice. Reason higher is the heads & the pistons. I believe a 3.4 runs at 9.5 compression. I recall a 2.8/3.1 is 8.5. I've only read these numbers thru research of various sources & confirmations from others.
As I've said, 3.4 stuff is "slightly different" than what ya used to.
The end result is a way better 3.4 mill now under your hood!
Yet I still use regular unleaded gas. I see no need for more expensive gas octane rating for my daily driving purpose. I believe my strong ignition system overcomes many small "I should do this (like expensive gas)" details. And my CA Smog testing does prove to me that the engine runs very efficently & pollutes next to zero emission registrating readings.
Hope these are clues
