Hard starting when cold
Hard starting when cold
I have a 2.8L in my 88 rally sport....I am experiencing hard starting when it's cold. It also runs roughly until it reaches about 200 degrees, ex: hesitating, erratic idle. Once it gets warmed up it runs ok and restarts fine. I thought it may be the temp sensor even though the I wasn't getting an ECM code, so I replaced it anyway (it was only $7.99), but it made no difference. Any ideas out there.....thanks

First try a major tuneup; click on <a href="search.php?s="><img src="images/top_search.gif" alt="Search" border="0"></a> and search for "major tuneup" written by "TomP" in the "v6 forum".
Other than that, check fuel pressure; might be a leaking injector. I've had this problem for 2 years, known about it for a year and a half, and when I get some time, I'll send a junkyard injector set out to http://www.cruzinperformance.com to be cleaned & checked.
