just a ? a friend of mine has a jeep w/a 208 v6 .i was told it was a chevy 2.8 cause back then chrysler was using gm 2.8 in there jeep trucks. now if that is true then can a 3.4 out of a 95 camaro be put in there.the 2.8 is tired and instead of rebuilding it i recomended getiing one from a junk yard.found one for 500 at 86000. his jeep is an 85 and its carbureted. dont flame me for it just asking .trying to help.

I would think that as long as its a 2.8 in there now, you could slide a 3.4 under ur 2.8 intake just like has been done so many times on this site

As long as it's an actual RWD GM 2.8, the RWD GM 3.1 and 3.4 will swap right in quite happily.. however, proof of it being a RWD GM 60 degree to begin with would be found through serious web searching, which you are more than capable of doing yourself, hence I'm not going to do it for you...

Wan't Jeep still produced by GM back in 85? I know it was part of the AMC division of GM, and that was sold to Chrysler in the 80s, but what year it was, I have no idea.
