I'm V6less

yeah, you heard me right guys. The v6 is gone. i sold it and picked up a TPI 350. i gave into peer pressure from my boyfriend and some other friends and decided to go with the bigger engine.

kinda sad that i parted with my 6. i put so much work into it. I know it went to a good home though.

While we were pulling the motor, we took the radiator out and found like 10 years of leaves, dirt and rocks all built up in there. That explains all the overheating problems i had. So if your overheating for no reason, check the radiator

I wanted to thank you guys for all your help though. You helped me solve alot of my car troubles. I'll see ay around the boards!

here's some pics

My budget right now is around $2500. There's not much i ahve to buy new, I need headers and y-pipe, fuel pump, CAI, new gaskets for everything etc. The little stuff adds up. Considering i bought the engine and tranny for $850 that's not bad.

L98+Trans for 850? That's not bad at all.. the nickel and dime stuff will hurt though, yes.. as for the v6 rear end, it'll hold up just fine.. your right rear will break loose long before that differential goes.. remember one guy in here swapped a poncho 406 into his with the stock rear and lit his right rear tire all the way through third... and still stomped a 5.0

(THIS is Erin91RS)

I bought the engine form a guy on the board here. IROC87 i believe. His name is brandon. I highly recomend him he was answered every question and threw in extra parts. I think he's selling a L98 in the classifieds now.

I got the whole assembly. Wiring harness, brackets, y-pipe...EVERYTHING. Even through in a V8 fuel pump, the CAI setup.
Engine just rolled over 100K. Everything looks real solid though and looks like it was taken care of. Came with Accel 24lb injectors, new wires. Carb build was minimal, no build up under the valve covers. I'm very pleased with everything.

I also bought a whole new rear bumper absorber(looks new, no rust), some interior pieces, steering box.

Grand total was under a thousand dollars and like i said i'm very happy.

I'm wondering if SLP still makes that POSI for 99 bucks. Like to buy that.

I need to buy headers and y-pipe because the stock manifolds were cut when removing the engine.

I'm happy
