V6 700r4

Are the V6 and V8 700R4s compatible with each other???

Will the V6 one hook up to a V8?

Thanks in advance!

that would make the answer "no" but the internals are interchangeable, so if ur building a six cylinder version, have it built w/ a v8 rebuild kit...will work just the same or better.

yeh, on the boards when peopleare rebuilding their 2.8L 700r4, they do the rebuild with the kit labled for the v8 cars found in jegs or other car parts mags. the original sixer tranny is also not considered as strong as the 8 cylinder counterpart, but can be made just as strong as the stock 8, and also can be made stronger than it too....just like you could doto the v8 car.
