Status Report and Oil Pressure
Well, oil pressure has officially disturbed me beyond belief. Perhaps the CT-26 requires an oil restrictor that I'm not aware of.. perhaps I should add one anyway.
The other option is a high volume oil pump. A few posts have mentioned this, but noone's popped of with a where/how much.. come on guys! Place, part number, and price! I'm gonna look for myself in a few minutes and post anything I come up with... Also, larger oil pan.. some say it's neccessary for a high volume pump.. I could understand why.. but what about enlarging the oil returns in the head? I'm replacing mine soon anyway.. if not, where the heck do we find a larger oil pan for our cars? =P
She's running strong. Very strong. I've seen alot of heads turn the past few days. I should be breaking down and buying a boost gauge within the next couple days.. also getting ready to drop the transmission again and replace its seals.
She got her first trip across town today.. about 10 miles total with 3 stops to cool down a little.. first one being the location of my V8, which had, according to murphy's law, died on the other end of town. She was doing okay, though some smoke and a strange combination of smells worries me.. I think the head gaskets are very unhappy at this time. Plug inspection *probably* tomorrow. I'll post pics.

The 3.4 oil pump has a larger screen and pickup tube from what I have read.
Local O'rileys says they carry high volume, but not sure of the brand. The few times it has been brought up, it is said it is un-needed, but because of a turbo, maybe one is needed.

How much oil pressure do you need??? Turbo shouldn't need much and the car need 30-40 psi. 10-15 psi at the turbo.
Yours uses coolant for cooling right???
The turbo bearings shouldn't need full psi.

Gumby's right... car needs 20-40 psi, and the turbo actually only needs about 10-15 psi! Running more pressure than that, and you can actually hurt the turbo...

For vacuum gauges they press in brass inserts with smaller holes.
You could buy some brass rod and try different size holes.
Brass is real easy to work with.
