Exhaust tips for flowmaster 80 series muffler?
At my school theres this v6 4th gen firebird that has a flowmaster muffler (I assume its an 80 series b/c it has dual outlets but I could be wrong) with has 3R racing screw-on exhaust tips on it and it sounds great! I have a 3.4 3rd gen camaro with an 80 series muffler on it and it sounds great at idle but through the mid rpms doesnt sounds that great in my opinion. My muffler is welded on so i dont want to get a dynomax muffler, (although I wish I had in the first place). Does anyone know of the exhaust tips Im talking about? Do you think this would quiet down the 80 series muffler and make it sound better? Do any other companies(monza, etc) make baffled exhaust tips like these?

Ask the guy who owns the car what year it is. The difference in the tone is not affected that much by the tips, but rather what he has before the muffler. If the car was made after midyear 1995, then it has a 3.8L and NOT a 3.4, which is more like a V8 with two cylinders chopped off. That would be the noise difference unless you in fact do not have the same Flowmaster he has.

at idle, love the 3.8L sound w/ flowmasters about 100x's better than the 60 mills....on the contray, after 2k-2.5k the 3.8L sounds sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo annoyingly ***** and w/o any "deep gurgle" that i could never enjoy the engine above 2k....the 60's sound 100 x' s better at the top end that the 3.8L's do....A guy at my school has the same setup, but the differences are crazy, 3.8/2.8
