where you get new elec. connector??

i recently replaced my ignition coil, and when i pulled off the front wire harness/connector, the plastic was so dried and brittle that the clip (that holds it on) broke right off. this is a gray connector, two wire (i think one pink or red and one is yellow?) that connects to the front top of the coil. (91). i had it held in place with elec tape, but it starting coming loose and the tach was jumping all around, so i want to replace the connector.

where do you get replacement connectors like that??? thanks.

find a GM car from the same era as yours and open the hood , find the coil and cut the wire. Pocket it and walk out.

Carquest almost certainly carries these brand new. I've gotten weird off-the-wall electrical connectors from Carquest, all of which they've simply walked off and grabbed from a shelf. Napa would be a 50/50 chance.

You can try the dealer if you can't find it. They can get pretty much any connector pigtail imaginable.

I think any auto parts store should have it. They are very common across GM cars as FbodTrek mentioned. I got mine from the local parts store here. One thing to check for is that the prongs inside the plug are the same length as the original. The grey one I got had shorter prongs and it caused me some problems.

Beware though; the local pep boys charges $15/connector for those suckers. ($15 for the black one and $15 for the gray one).
