All right, it goes kinda like this, my cars has not been working since like july 2003, like I said along time. I don't really want to go thru the whole story again.

I know my battery is dead, so my friend has a charger, I know i am going to do that, it is an optima afterall, hopefully it is fine.
What else should I replace, to get it back up and running?

Thanks guys

How much gas is in the tank? 8 months isn't horribly bad for gas, but it definitely isn't in the same condition it was when it was pumped into the tank... if it's really low, add fresh gas to dilute the stuff. Changing your fuel filter after going through a tank or two would be beneficial also.

An oil+filter change would be good, plus remove the ECU/fuel pump fuse next to the battery (red wire + orange wire, 20A) and crank the motor for 5-10 seconds before firing it up to get the oil circulating a bit.

With only 8 months of downtime, there really shouldn't be anything too special.

I have heard of a few people spraying very small amounts of penatrating oil in the cumbustion chamber to help the piston slide incase the walls started rusting.

Deff change oil
Being as your on the islands, humdity is high, might want to put some gas dry in the tank.
Check your belt

Best of luck, glad to here you can drive again
