egr solenoid
ok i am getting code 32.Believe is because i got one of the ports at the solenoid wide open. The solenoiide has three ports, the two that point to the intake is conected to the tb,but the one that points to the winshield is open because i don't know what to put there.Should i put a vacuum hose there and where it goes or just plug the hole.Any sugestion?

Hello whitecamrs,
There are only two vacuum ports on the EGR solenoid. The top one goes to the nipple under the base of the throttle body, the bottom one goes to the EGR valve. The third opening that you think is a vacuum port is actually a vent for the solenoid.

Actually, no. The one that points rearward is a reference line which should be connected to the EGR control relay doohickey. If vented, it is a vacuum leak. EGR will fail to operate, code 32 will pop on the lack of a reference signal.
To clarify where it should be plugged in, follow the wires on the control solenoid.. they hook up to the control box. There should be a vac port on it also. Connect there.

It may just be his makeup but I agree with trick. I played n played with that 3rd nipple ad its doesn't do anything 4 me. Where the others do. That is where I hooked up my "load" vacuum gauge. Right there on the EGR circuit. It only reads vacuum "load" when the gas pedal is used.

maybe but before when i got the the it hade the original hoses or tubs whatever and i didn't hade the code until i opened the intake to change the gaskets and broke all the vacuum hoses.I know something is not right because it's leaking vacuum from there.

Okay, I stand corrected and Techsmurf is correct, There are three vacuum lines on the EGR solenoid for the 2.8L V6. The third vacuum line goes from the solenoid to the EGR vacuum diagnostic switch which is attached to the EGR vacuum control assembly base. Here is a picture of it.
