Yeah hes trying to learn how to drive.
15.8 from a larger motor swap. headers and cam? Just curious on what your thoughts are on that? Whats that like a second faster then a stock 2.8?

Uhhhh, NO. My car ran Really High 17's low 18's stock. I got to 15's with a cam swap, and NO, he's not just learning to drive. He has exhaust and lid, and has owned a few L98 thirdgens before
. Might wan to watch the other vids too bro, the cars that were REALLY fast, had completly modded L98's (heads, cam, internals, hedders etc.) The guy I ran a few times with the white hood has a modded L98 (TB hedders and a T5). The dark colored RS (which is actually DK green) Is a converted LB9 car he was a bit too slow as well. I dunno if you saw the Orange TA or not, but he ran a 9.66 one pass....LT1 intake, big cam, hedders, shift kit, posi. I have an open rear and hard rubber, so I can't launch for crap. The LS1 car did make faster runs that night, but still not as fast as some of the thirdgens. I wasn't the slowest car out there is all, there were fuel injected V8's that were slower (And once I hit the juice, I'll walk the L98 guys too with a few exceptions...)

Stock 2.8 in good tune, with a stick shift, is a 17.0-17.2 second ride.
Auto add .2 seconds.

Have you ran yours yet Brobert? Id be curious to know what a motor swap/tranny swap netted you.

Well it seemed by the vid you luanched fine.
Going by the time slips the guy showed me(guy i got the motor from) The car the motor was in before ran 13 something. I forget the exact numbers. I mentioned it before so i could probably search and find it but im too lazy
That was in a car that weighed more then mine does with iirc crappier gears. It was also with the pos TPI intake in the motor.
I want to get to the track but lack of $ is stopping me. Ill get there one day soon. I need wider tires. These ones were fine for the v6. They aint now.
only thing i dont like is i got this motor with stuff already done to it (cam trans work rockers etc) I really would have liked to pick parts and did it myself. But for the price i got it for i cant complain.
BTW the ls1 driver just doesnt look like he knows how to drive very well. He shifts like my grandma .
