Converted! Gets about 115* in the summer regularly. So it is a must for me. Only draw back is that it takes a little longer to cool down.

HA, I converted mine at least 2 years ago, if not longer. Worked great too. Took about 5 minutes for the car to get to 49*. Measured with thermometer and clock.

My old compressor went bad, so about 2 years ago I had an entire new r134 system put into the car. After all, its the wifes car mainly and she needs to stay cool-

we all should know (this applies to anyone married, or going to be someday)

"If the wife's not happy, then nobody's happy"

Since I'm on the marraige topic, let me also say-

I've been married fo thirteen years- THREE of the happiest years of my life- A week here, a week there. ..... Just a fun saying a tell people in front of her.

I still have my A/C- on a shelf above my garage door.

I pulled it when I wrecked the car back in '97; the pipe burst and sprayed my full freon charge out. Granted, I never used the A/c, but it was nice to have.

So, since I didn't use the A/C, and since the evaporator was bent all to hell, I just pulled it all out. I've got a heater-only firewall box in my basement just waiting for me to put on. Currently I have the heater/evap box, with a junkyard evap filling the hole. The a/c compressor, bent tubing, bent condensor, and the accumulator can are in the garage.

Well... That goes both ways. Us man folk can make their lives just as hard as they can make ours...

Trust me on that. I have caused plenty of greif in my wifes life, and she mine. I will not even mention the dogs...

The compressor's heavy, the other parts really aren't. I never weighed the thing; I guess I should have. If a girl complained about the heat in my car, I always told her to take clothes off- only worked once! Try staying on the road when that happens!
