I puled the spark wires off of my engine because it was giving a pop and the Camaro book i have says that it is supposed to fire 123456 but i put it on the and now it wont run when it was rebuilt could the mechanics have changed the fireing order? if so what other possible orders are there

IS your #1 wire going to the front of the passanger side that is were it should go.

 

i had it exactly as the book shows but it would not even fire that way

 

I now have it set to 135642 and it will at least run but it is very rough and it pops every now and then.

 

you should have 135 on the pass side of the engine from the front of it to the back. on the driver side it should be 246, from front to back. find #1 on the cap and it goes around clockwise. if it still pops and you have the wires on correctly, there is something else wrong. make sure the plug wires arent all tangled up either, it can cause a crossfire.

 

yeah 135642 clockwise rotation and i found it the people who put the distributer in put baqckwards so that it goes 456123
