trying to locate the noise. i can really hear it when im at 3000 in 2nd gear but its not the trans cause it does it in park

its not the alt pully.. im going to get the timing checked on sunday hopefully the noise is related to how rough the idle is.

i have a spare timing chain and gear too.. somewhere

if it is a ticking lifter/rocker how do you fix that?

Check for a busted flywheel.
