Auto to 5 speed swap ?'s

I'm thinking about throwing a 5 speed in. Just wanted to know if ne one has, how much it would cost, how difficult it is etc. Thanks.

well, your gonna need an entire setup

tranny
pedals
clutch assembaly
flywheel
actual clutch
shifter
etc




then you have to cut the floorpan for the shifter, its not the easiset job thats forsure, but not gonna be really hard

as far as cost, it really depends, finding a v6 t-5 ain't easy.

My engine is out right now ne ways, and i really wanna build it up so the best place to start i figured was a better tranny. I'll start checkin out the junk yards. Thanks.

no problem, if the engines out thats even better, just make sure to cut the hole in the right place and you should have a much easier time

i got a kit from hawks thirdgen(sponser on top of page) cost me 650 for the kit and maybe another 50 bucks for other things i needed.....took me awhile but i got it running well now

I got everything I needed from the junkyard for 100 bucks (trans, pedals, bellhousing, console, flywheel, etc etc)

plus the cost of a new clutch deal ...~100.

So ~200 for everything I needed. U-pull-it junkyards are a good thing.
