thanks Doward another question which one is the prom. i puled the 2 screws out removed the small cover on the one side of the computer and there are 2 removable chips. is it the small one or the big one or should i change both. oh and any special things i need to do to change the computer so i dont burn it up other than unplug the battery.

Should just be one - it's got a black plastic cover around it. It should be the 'bigger' one.

I thought the computers had to have the same numbers to be a swap?!? Could be wrong.
As far as the 2 chips. Larger is prom. The other one is needed if you ever have to buy a new computer. Make sure you swap it in too. I only swapped the prom and oh boy! Car was not liking that! I think it ran, but was running horrible. There was no talking to check engine light...no workie
