The Dual Snorkle intake on the 2.8 camaro, the one that comes up around the latch for the hood and takes in air from in front of the radiator. I want that, but since I have a firebird it won't fit with the car as is. If I cut the metal out and put some rubber seals around the intake would that work? That metal there isn't crucial or anything is it?

I almost freaked out, but then I re-read your message... It's not the metal around the hood latch that's the problem; it's the radiator support! Unless you're really talking about cutting out the radiator support?
The hood slope is too low; our slanted hood comes close to the radiator support- but on a Camaro with a straight hood, they have the extra room for the plastic to fit.

Damn, I've been trying to think of a way to make a custom intake to keep me busy so I don't break anything on the motor meddling. Been trying to think of an efficiant way to run air from where the fog lights go in the nose to air filters, possibly have a filter where the battery goes and the stock location on the 3.1 so I'd have 2 filters even though from what I've read it's overkill and stupid to try and do and blah blah blah I don't care. Best way I could figure was have the 2.8 intake and have it run from the fog lights into that intake.
