VECI label question

How important is the VECI label. I dont have one and was wondering if i really need one. I guess i could post this in the general tech board but I like the V6 guys best. So get it or dont worry about it.

Guys any input would be great

I don't have one but mine is an 85.
I pass inspections no problem. But then again it a state of Maine inspection.
