Thank You all, But I have converted.

Well to all who read this I have converted. On the 23rd of march at around 8:30pm miami time, I became the proud owner of a 2000 Camaro. I still have my thirdgen, but it looks like I am going to get rid of it to cover payments. I jut came on here to thank every one of you guys that ever helped me figure problems out on my thirdgen (lightning). I will continue to visit this site and contribute to helping other people mod the V6 thirdgen and make the world know that thirdgens are still here and still strong, even though I sold out like a little B****.lol. Thank you all for your help in the past.

take the drivetrain & putit in your thirdgen. Even though the 98+ comeros look better than the 93~97 cars, they still look like a$$. Thirdgen 'maros are the bestest of the 82~02 bodies.

Can't say i blame him. I recently picked up a 93 240SX Nissan... let's jsut say, that while I'll never go *****- this thing MOVES. ALready adding full boltons and cams. After that its getting direct port nitrous..... BUT, it sux off the line, so I retain my baby for drag racing. Heck, it's nice to be able to pull people from a 45 mph roll liek the 4 banger does. Wish teh 3.4 had the same shape of powerband. that and the fact that it weighs like 2700 lbs (I'm gutting the back half though.. ).

Just removing weight without knowing your weight transfer ratio's is a waste of time. You want the rear of the car heavier, lose weight in the front. 49/51 is the best. 51% of the total weight on the rear of the car for the launch.

Just removing weight with no thought can make the car actually slower as you wont get good traction. Adding weight where its needed can help more.

Gut the front end and move every parts possible to the trunk.

If you can't get the front end any lighter then say 1500lbs, making the rear half weight 500lbs isn't gonna help if your just spinning your tires.
