Dont know why I try

So I order from Thunder Racing an Asp 25% Underdrive pulley for the crank. After fighting for awhile to loosen the bolts, I was finally able to get the new one on. But it seems like the 4 bolt holes don't line up for anything. I can get 2 in, but then the center is off and the other 2 won't go in. It must not be the right pulley. Also, the pulley is supposed to be 25% smaller. When I compared it to my stock pulley, it was the same exact size. And another thing, the stock pulley is smooth because the back of the belt goes around it, this pulley was ribbed. I really think there was a mis-package. It isnt Thunder racing's fault because they get the items directly from ASP. So i called them and there tech guy is calling me back.
What i wanted to know is if anyone bought this same pulley for their V6 and if they encountered any of the same problems. Was your UD pulley ribbed as well? Did you notice a size difference between the UD and the regular pulley? Maybe I'm just horrible when it comes to working under the hood and can't get the thing to work. heh.

The crank pulley is ribbed. The smooth one is the water pump. When you size check it against the original crank pulley the 25% smaller should be in circumference, not diameter. To reduce the accessory speeds by 25% the circumference of the drive pulley needs to be reduced by 25%.

So the middle pulley is the water pump? Which is the crank pulley, the one directly below that the water pump pulley?

i'd rather have my water pump spinning faster to better cool the engine and the alternator supplying more current to the ignition system........

So i put them in and all is fine until tonight. I hear this really annoying sqealing sound coming from the engine when I step on the accelerator and when I brake at high speeds. I think its the belt slipping. Why would it do that? Any specific reasons? I ordered the correct size belt to make up for the smaller pulley. How do i stop the slippage? I'm tempted to put the car back the way it was. Didnt have problems then.

i have the crank and alt pullies on my car. i had my friend's 1800 watt amp with 2 12s in my car for about a month. i could let the car idle, crank it (the stereo) way up, at night (w/headlights on), a/c, cooling fan on,... everything and the voltage would drop to about 10....not necessarily good but, it never caused my any problems.

IF your belt is squeling, you might still need a shorter belt...
