Took My 3.1 To The Track

Alright, I know this is in the wrong section, but seeing as how I'd like to get feedback from the V6 guys I'd like to post it here. All in all I ran just about what I thought I would. Times are as follows:

R/T ... .280
60 ... .2.354
330 .. .7.010
1/8 ... .10.896
MPH .. .63.59
990 ... .14.135
1/4 ... .17.055
MPH ... .81.01

That was the best slip I got all night, the rest were all below 17.100. Its nice the car is consistent. I tried some different methods, but I got the best results from just letting the auto do the shiffting itself. Weather for racing was TERRIBLE however. It was 95* with 89% humidity. How much would this affect my times, if any? I was hoping to break into the 16's, but I just didn't think I would be able to do it with the amount of moisture in the air. So I left around 9:00 p.m. with 5 runs under my belt and a good idea to start with. Only mods are: Gutted cat(useless I"m sure) and a 2 1/2 cat-back dynomax exhaust system. I'll be back when the humidity and temp goes down, and hopefully have a nice set of pacesetter headers and snorkel intake with ram-air to see what i can do. I guess the main thing I was wondering the most about was the affect of the humidity and temp on my times. Can I do any better with my current set up? Thanks

you could probably pick up atleast a tenth with better weather. with the headers and dual snorkel intake, you might run 16.6s or so....not sure but that's my guess.

Upgrade your ignition system. A new cap, rotor, and plug wires will go along way.

Automatic?

I ran a 16.7 @ 79.5 mph - so you've got room to improve, either in driving, or shifting

Yeah I have no doubt that I can improve. My trap speed was decent I guess. And I was spinning off of the line pretty badly. And the weather, honestly, I couldn't sit in the car for ten minutes without almost passing out. Met a lot of good people though. Two other thirdgen owners. One a 1992 Z28 350, ran a 12.98 on a 100 shot. The other a RS 305, actually ran slower than me.
I have a feeling I can go a little lower, and yes I'm automatic.
