V6 Discussion and questions about the base carbureted or MPFI V6's and the rare SFI Turbo V6.

Anybody know what these two "Sensors" are

Anybody know what these two "Sensors" are

the car is a 83 berly, 2.8l CARBED three speed auto

the "sensors" for a lack of a better term are located on the right side of the power break booster (from the front of the car, looking at the engine) here is a photo of the two sensors one looks to be a MAP sensor, but im at a loss over what the other one is.

the right one is for map, and the left one is a relay. could be maf burnoff, fuel pump, headlights.

not sure with the v6 models.

unplug it and find out what doesnt work.

ithink you will find that inside there is a fuse for your fuel pump @ oil pump .gm used them about that time to shut them off in case of a rollover.just pop the cap up and look inside should see a 25 amp blade type fuse. car will not start if fuse is blown.
