i cant tell much from your description but it dont sound familiar to me.
my car only has 2 things in the intake the MAF and the IAT in the aircleaner. i have only 1 thing in my exhaust and that is the O2.

Ok...
O2 senor will ONLY be on/in exhaust. You will never find one in the intake. I mean what is it gonna tell you? oh there is lots of O2 here.
Now RWD 2.8/3.1 had only one.
Some 3.4's have 2, one on each exhaust bank.
The factory design of the RX I believed used 2.
What sensors you will/may find on the intake side (not limiting to 3rd gens) MAF, IAT, BARO, Vacuum, MAP.

^^^ ok thats what i thought. i figured it was going to be something left over from the rx7 wiring. i know that the o2 would be in the exhaust... but whenever it was said that there was one in the intake........ thats why i asked for a picture.. thanks.
