Crate 3.4-2.8 swap

I have a quick question in the past I have seen a crate 3.4 engine designed to replace 2.8 carberated engines in S-10's. I was just wondering if it would be posible to use one of those crate engines to replace a multi-port fuel injection engine. I would asume that it isn't posible or I would have been able to find something about it here, I tried to search for it. Thanks for any input.

I can be done, its basically the same thing as a camaro 3.4. However, that cam that it comes with is designed for carb use, and will not respond well to the mpfi intake/ecm.

So if I did it I should replace the cam, Thanks

Another question is would it be worth it or just as good and cheaper(?) to pick up a rebuilt 3.4.

are you sure on that, as the crate cam & the f-bod cam are allmost identical in specs

The crate cam I read about had some massive lift, and the duration/angles were more carb designed.
