Fuel Pump?

Greetings all,
Here's my problem(s). I've been having some trouble with start-up (seems to be harder to start than normal). It acts as though the battery/starter are weak when I first try to start it. After the first start though, it seems fine. The starter was just replaced, and the alternator/battery check out (had them tested at AZ). Now, it misses at idle speed, and through slow acceleration. It is throwing a code 54 (low voltage at FP). Is my fuel pump bad? How can I be sure. I'm only a glorified tinkerer when it comes to working on a car so I'd rather not waste my time and money on fixing something that aint broke. Thanks for the help.

spend teh $35 to get a fp gauge , or borrow someones, & read the "key on on engine off" & "key on engien on" numbers. You should have, iirc, ~42psi w/engien off, and ~5-7 engien on readings.

I'm going see if I can borrow a gauge to test the fuel pressure. In the meantime, could a weak pump cause the "low voltage at fuel pump" error code, or should I also check the relay?

yes, should be able to use a test light to check the voltage coming out of the relay

Test lights only tell you that there is a presense of voltage, not how much voltage there is. Use a Digital Multi-meter to see exactly what is getting to the fuel pump and then make sure that you have a very low-resistance ground circuit.
