Any sensors that will keep stop spark, but allow cranking?

I just thought about that today. Are there any sensors or something that would keep the ignition system from having spark, yet allow the engine to crank?

Tomorrow I'm having the car towed home probably and I haven't decided yet quite where I"ll start. I guess I'll work my way back from the coil or start at beginning at the battery.

The pickup coil on the distributor would do it I believe.

Second the pickup coil. Along with the ignition module and spark coil.

I sure messed up the thread title.

They said there's no power going into the module. I'm not sure if there's power going into the ign coil. I'm calling them in a minute to see if they're getting close or not.
