T5 In a Junkyard? T5 V8 in a V6?
Would it be reasonable to think that if I find a 2.8 in a junk yard, and its a manual, that there is a T5 in there? If i was able to figure out that it was a T5, would it be a pretty good to get all the bolts and such from that instead of ordering them from somewhere? Also, is it possible to retrofit a V8 T5 to a V6?

2.8/3.1 5sp in a f-body will be a t5. Now depending on the year it will be a WC or NWC. You want the WC.
To get a v8 one to work, you will need to find a special clutch because the splines are different. I also belive between the v6 n v8, the gear ratios are different, but check into that yourself.

theres something in one of the tech articles or tech info or something like that about what trans has what gearing. i do remember that the v6 T5 has some of the better gearing, but i dont remember what exactly they have.
